Akiko Tsuji x Troentorp Custom Art Clogs

Each pair of Troentorp clogs is free-hand sketched and hand-painted by Akiko in her signature style.

Custom Art (includes portraits): One scene or one portrait per side based on your request will be sketched. This stage takes about 2 weeks. Please choose your size, and send a message with a request including your choice of the base clogs (see the last pic) A. White w/o strap, B. White w/strap, C. Tan or D. Black (white paint). You can request, for example, your family members as people or animals doing what they like (hobbies, profession, etc.), or your pets, and list things such as at the beach, cafe, favorite food, activities, etc. You will see the sketches before they’re painted on the clogs.

Each pair is flown in from the Troentorp Clogs in Sweden, artwork is then sketched and painted on the shoes. The paint used is specifically designed for leather, and it will not peel, crack, or rub off (unless scratched or scraped! Please be gentle as you would with any other nice leather goods, and though the paint is waterproof, avoid getting the leather wet) while maintaining its flexibility.

The sizing is European and 36 means US women’s size 6. The width is medium. If your feet are wider, please size up. Please allow approx. 3 weeks to ship as shipping from Sweden may take longer. There is no return or exchange on this item.

I remember my first pair of Troentorp clogs—the red pair with die-cut leaf details. Everything about them was perfect—the shape, the color, the smooth wooden base, the small round top nails that pressed the leather along the edges... I had them for many years until the leather finally gave in and started to crumble. I hope the pairs of Troentorp clogs I paint will also see many suns and moons and be loved until one day, they return to earth.
